The Thermo Scientific Q250 analytical SEM produces top quality images and analysis, from traditional samples such as metals, fractures, and polished sections, to non-conductive soft materials. The Q250 is the advanced, flexible solution for current and future research applications. Featuring three imaging modes— high vacuum, low vacuum, and ESEM™ (Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy), it accommodates the widest range of samples of any SEM system including: 

  • oxidation/corrosion samples
  • ceramics, composites, plastics
  • films and coatings
  • soft materials: polymers, pharmaceuticals, gels
  • particles, porous materials, fibers
 

A complete EDS solution provided by the UltraDry detector with Pathfinder software

High-throughput analysis is provided by the UltraDry EDS detector for accurate quantification and detection of light elements. The Pathfinder X-ray microanalysis software platform provides this information in spectrum mode, point ID, line scan or 2D spectral imaging. The Pathfinder solution includes:

  • EXTREME element mapping with background subtraction, peak deconvolution and quantitative analysis in each pixel both live and in postprocessing
  • Automatic drift compensation
  • Unlimited software site license for offline analysis and processing
