With the Peltier stage, humidity cycling experiments can be performed to characterize the sample's morphology and phase distribution at various relative humidity conditions. The stage is engineered to eliminate the need of cooling water to cool the stage during operation.

When cooled between 0 and 10 °C, specimens of very diverse nature can be imaged and analyzed at relative humidity conditions up to 100% (typical chamber pressures required are in the range 3-10 mbar). In fact, humidity cycling experiments can be performed to characterize the sample's morphology and phase distribution at changing relative humidity conditions.
Excess heat is conducted through copper braids to the specimen stage allowing for stable temperature control in the range -5 to 60 °C.
The Peltier stage is connected through an interface flange, which mounts on the D-port of the specimen chamber. The temperature and the ramp-up profile are directly controlled through the Quanta user interface.
