Description
Surfactant-tempalted mesostructured silica formed within the pores of an alumina membrane. Solvent evaporation induces surfactant self assembly into cylinders (bright) that organizes into mesophases and template the polymerization of a silica scaffold (gray) from a sol-gel solution, inside the pores of a porous alumina membrane (black).
